It's that time of year. The time for excessive consumption of egg nog, gingerbread cookies and all manner of chocolate, sweets and candy canes, not to mention turkey. It's time for tree shopping, decorating, and late night present wrapping. It's also the time for giving and gifts and BOOKS!!!

Every year I anticipate my Amazon and Chapters gift cards (that's our Canadian version of B&N over here) with a zeal that border on manic. Post-holiday, when the excessive consumption of sweets and turkey is over, I'll hit the on-line bookstores and gorge myself there. The thrill never seems to wane over the years.
